The Wanderer is a half-human, half-kaiju mutant who will be the main character of the upcoming IDW comic Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone.

The Wanderer is seen patrolling a sector of the Deadzone before sensing the presence of another monster. From the treelike, a multi-eyed, armored monster rushes towards the Wanderer who readies himself for battle against the far larger beast. The scene then jump cuts to a more desert-like portion of the Deadzone, where the Wanderer is seen now riding atop the very monster he had originally battled as a steed.

The Wanderer is able to grow long, dagger-like claws for combat purposes to face off against other kaiju.
