Yuggoth is a fungus-like Titan who serves as the main antagonist of the 2025 Titan Comics and Legendary Comics series Return to Skull Island.
Name
Yuggoth is named after a planet created by H.P. Lovecraft for his 1929 sonnet series Fungi from Yuggoth, inhabited by a race of fungoid-like crustaceans known as the Mi-Go.
Origins
Yuggoth originally dwelled deep beneath the Earth's surface, but emerged from a tar pit on Skull Island after sensing the ecological power vaccuum caused by the demise of the Kraken and the weakened Kong.

After sensing the ecological chaos occurring on Skull Island, Yuggoth emerged from the depths of the Hollow Earth to take advantage of the vacuum created by the death of the Kraken. Taking the form of a tar pit, Yuggoth snatched and consumed the Hawk Monster as the bird flew by to inspect the location.

Yuggoth has the ability to infect and corrupt other organisms.
Shapeshifting
Yuggoth can morph its form at will in order to disguise itself, shown when it collapsed into a tar pit and then grew an arm to seize the Hawk Monster.
