Shiryu (しりゅう is a mecha that originally first appeared as a collaborative figure between Shiryuu)Godzilla vs. Evangelion collaborative figure with a bio that stated to be mecha made of collaboration of the JSDF and NERV made from data of Godzilla. Shiryu later appeared in the P Godzilla vs. Evangelion: Second Impact G with the same origins as the toy bio, where it was used by Kaworu Nagisa.
Name
Shiryu's name is likely a portmanteau of "Kiryu," the name of the mecha serving as its base, and "shin", which can read as "new" (新), "true" (真), or "god" (神) depending on the kanji used. In order to leave it open to multiple interpretations, the Shin series spells it in katakana (シン).[3]
Appearance
The mecha has a mix of Kiryu and of an Evangelion Unit.
Origins
Shiryu's toy bio, as well as P Godzilla vs. Evangelion: Second Impact G, establishes that Shiryu was built via collaboration between the JSDF and NERV, utilizing data from Godzilla and schematics based on Kiryu.

Flight
Shiryu is capable flight.
Anti-Kaiju Battle Blades
Shiryu is armed with two Anti-Kaiju Battle Blades on its forearms.
Spine and tail blades
The blades on Shiryu's back and tail utilize the same technology as regular Evangelion units' Progressive Knife, which vibrate at extremely high frequencies in order to cut targets at the molecular level.
E Mode and G Mode
Shiryu can swap between E Mode, which allows the machine to stand upright, and G Mode, which grants Shiryu enhanced mobility and enables tail-based attacks.[4]

- Shiryu originally appeared earlier as a figure in Godzilla vs. Evangelion collaboration but couldn't be covered on the scope of this wiki until it's appearance in P Godzilla vs. Evangelion: Second Impact G.
- Shiryu's dorsal fins resemble the plates of the dinosaur Stegosaurus, which inspired those on Godzilla's original design.
