"A Flower Blooms in the Dark"
When he first fell into the ravine, Little noticed a Morpho butterfly licking two mushrooms. Later, after Erika had healed Little's wounds and Little's brothers Godzilla-kun and Minilla arrived, Minilla realized he was hungry and spotted the mushrooms. Though Godzilla-kun worried they might be poisonous, Little pointed out they probably weren't since the Morpho butterfly licked them and so Minilla attempted to eat them, only for them to run away. Minilla chased after them until they changed form and revealed themselves to be sentient organisms called Matan and Tango, who together were the Matangos, and also that they came from the Bio Forest where Erika was born. They then stated that they could transport the group to the Bio Forest because it was currently a full moon and used their Mushroom Hammer to teleport the Three Godzilla Brothers to the forest.
"Godzilla-kun Goes to the Forest"
Matan and Tango teleported to the Bio Forest after the brothers arrived and removed parts of themselves for Minilla and Little to eat after hearing that they were hungry. Godzilla-kun worried about this but they reassured him that could be regenerate and they needed the trio to protect the forest and so Minilla and Little agreed to save them for an emergency. They then used their Mushroom Hammer to give the three plant disguises so the carnivorous plants in the forest wouldn't bother them but this attracted the attention of the monster threatening the Bio Forest: Desghidorah. Matan and Tango watched with the Godzilla Brothers as Desghidorah sucked up the vitality of some plants for himself and the Matangos chose to run from him but the Godzilla Brothers stood their ground until they realized this was the best strategy.
The Matangos returned as the trio watched a battle between Desghidorah and the Bio's Forest guardian Sakuya, with the Matangos teleporting them away back to the ravine where Erika was so they could return to the forest the next time there was a full moon.
"A Voice that Calls For Us"
Godzilla-kun, Minilla and Little returned to the ravine the next full moon and so the Matangos transported them to the Bio Forest again, which had withered since the last time they were there. Matan and Tango once again arrived a little after the Three Godzilla Brothers and provided them with plant disguises, reassuring them that the lake they were near contained a substance Desghidorah couldn't stand and so he couldn't attack Sakuya unless he gained the ability to fly. They suggested mushrooms for them to eat once again but Little assured them they were full from drinking the lake water, shocking Matan and Tango since it was supposedly only potable for those with special cells. However, the return of Desghidorah stopped them from speaking further as the two Matangos fled.
Matan and Tango later watched again as Sakuya evolved into her true form with the help of the Three Godzilla Brothers who now made up some of her vines and defeated Desghidorah. After Desghidorah's defeat, they returned the trio back to Godzi Godzi Island where they told Erika of their success.
