I keep telling them. Godzilla isn't some dog I can train to do stupid tricks. Godzilla is a primal being. Not just powerful... but damn smart, too. This was part of my plan all along--thinning the herd. Above all, Godzilla is a predator. The greatest predator the world has ever spawned. And us... we may as well be minnows.

— Jaion "Jai" Kulkarni's narration (Godzilla: Heist #3)

Godzilla (ゴジラ,   Gojira) is an amphibious reptilian kaiju who first appeared in the first issue of Godzilla: Heist. A menace to humanity, Godzilla's extreme aggression made him easily manipulated by young thief Jaion "Jai" Kulkarni who lured Godzilla to Manila as a distraction while he robbed a casino before becoming involved in a more dangerous heist in London to steal Mechagodzilla, similarly manipulating Godzilla to carry this out.

Name

Main article: Godzilla#Name.

Godzilla's Japanese name, Gojira (ゴジラ), comes from a combination of the Japanese approximation of "gorilla" (ゴリラ,   gorira), and kujira (クジラ), the Japanese word for "whale."

Development

In an interview with Godzilla.com, Kelsey Ramsey stated that while Toho had initial references for Godzilla's design, she "subconsciously [tried] to ode and take aspects from all the different Godzillas."[1]More to be added.

Godzilla is an extremely aggressive and vicious organism quick to anger even against things that pose him no true danger, with this exploitable high aggression being somewhat similar to the Godzilla from Godzilla Minus One. He is additionally known to be attracted to neutrinos, whether naturally caused by large atmospheric anomalies created by cosmic rays or generated by man-made devices. More to be added.

Origins

Few details on Godzilla's origins are specified though there is some information on his past: he is known to have battled Anguirus in India sometime in the past in a battle that led to the death of Jai's grandfather and his natural territory is the Pacific Ocean.
