History
- Kaiju No. 8 (TV 2024-) [episode 13]
Kaiju No. 8
Diclonius surfaced in Tokyo Bay off the coast of Yokohama. As it walked towards the shore through the water, it was fired upon by medium range missile launchers from within the city. Subsequently, it was fired upon by Type 87 Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Guns and Type 10 Tanks from Honmoku and Daikoku Piers, along with DF Mobile Cannons from Daikoku Pier and Type 16 maneuver combat vehicles from the Yokohama Bay Bridge. The attack was able to injure the kaiju and divert its course, but it then dove down and swam under the Yokohama Bay Bridge, slashing through the bridge with its dorsal plates and causing the bridge to collapse.
As Diclonius continued its advance towards Yokohama, three members of the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force's First Division - Rin Shinonome, Tachibana, and an unnamed member - moved to Ōsanbashi Pier and continued to attack it, while Eiji Hasegawa remained at Daikoku Pier, with each of the four members of the First Division guiding Diclonius to a neutralization point. With Diclonius at the neutralization point just off Yokohama's shores, Captain Gen Narumi of the First Division leapt from out of a helicopter down onto Diclonius' back and stabbed into it with his GS-3305 bayonet, blowing the kaiju to bits with his rifle.
Abilities

Amphibiousness
Diclonius is capable of swimming, which was how it approached Yokohama, and how it breached the blockade meant to hold it back initially.
Weaknesses
Diclonius was wounded by standard military weapons, as it was stated to have taken a hit to the side, and was shown bleeding as it swam through the Yokohama Bay Bridge.
