Dengu (デングー,   Dengū) is a space kaiju that first appeared in the 2006 Amapro short film Golden Sachi Monster King Rampus.

Design

Dengu has a short, spherical, blue-skinned body. It has a frog-like mouth lined with triangular teeth and lips, catfish-like whiskers ontop of it's mouth, and beneath its eyes and on its chin protrude a four of curved spikes. Dengu's eyes are large with tiny pupils and glow orange in the dark, and behind them sit three gill holes. A large rostrum protrudes from its face, and its back is covered in large spikes. Dengu has four small, lumpy limbs tucked under its body which end in three-clawed hands and feet.

  • Naoki Karasawa, the designer of Dengu and King Rampus, illustrated an official advertisement for a DVD box set for Gappa featuring Dengu battling the titular Gappa.[2]
    • The second piece of artwork would be reused for some of the plastic bags the Dentu toys arrive in
