James Flavin (birth name James William Flavin Jr.) was an American actor. From 1932 to 1976, he appeared in more than 500 films, including King Kong (1933), Robin Hood of Texas (1947), and In Cold Blood (1967). Flavin played Briggs, second mate of the Venture, in King Kong and Schultz in Mighty Joe Young (1949). He died on April 23, 1976, at the age of 69.
