Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla

Ikuko Miyajima was the daughter of Professor Hideto Miyajima, a physicist who had a laboratory at Mount Fuji. On the day that Masahiko Shimizu visited her father’s laboratory, after discovering a piece of Space Titanium, an earthquake struck the lab, something that she noted was becoming more of a common occurrence for 10 days straight. The next day, Mt. Fuji suddenly erupted and expelled a giant rock containing a monster, which Masahiko identified as Godzilla. Despite this Godzilla’s hostile nature, as shown when it broke Anguirus’ jaw and destroyed areas surrounding Mt. Fuji, all three and the laboratory appeared unscathed from the monster. Masahiko’s brother Keisuke arrived after Godzilla’s rampage to reveal that he too discovered a piece of Space Titanium. Intrigued, Professor Miyajima asked Masahiko to take him to Gyokusen Cave after he took a closer look at Godzilla. Ikuko traveled to Tokyo with her father, Keizuke and Masahiko where they viewed Godzilla attacking the port area of the city. Suddenly, a second Godzilla emerged and fought the other one, revealing Space Titanium underneath its counterpart’s skin. Her father concluded that the Godzilla from Mt. Fuji was a cyborg imposter, a Mechagodzilla. With its cover blown, Mechagodzilla shed the rest of its disguise and revealed its true robotic form. As the two monsters’ beams collided, an explosion knocked Godzilla back into Tokyo Bay and damaged Mechagodzilla’s head controls. Mechagodzilla flew away to undergo repairs while Godzilla vanished, leaving blood in Tokyo Bay’s water. Believing that Mechagodzilla was remotely controlled by aliens, Professor Miyajima asked his daughter and Masahiko to accompany him to Gyokusen Cave in Okinawa while Keisuke went back to meet with Saeko Kanagusuku and his uncle, Professor Wakura.

As Ikuko and the others searched the cave, they were captured by two mysterious men in silver jumpsuits. All three were brought into a secret liar inside the cave and introduced to Kuronuma, leader of the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens' invasion force. Ikuko and Masahiko were taken to an execution chamber, Kuronuma promised Miyajima that their lives would be spared if he repaired Mechagodzilla. When Miyajima completed Mechagodzilla’s repairs, he was betrayed by Kuronuma and placed into the chamber as well. Hot steam was released inside of the room, causing immense heat intended to boil them alive. They were saved when Keisuke and INTERPOL agent Nanbara infiltrated the base and opened the execution chamber’s door, this was nearly halted by two aliens before Nanbara shot and killed them both. All the humans managed to escape the base and headed towards Keisuke’s car; Nanbara anticipated a trap and used a wire to turn the ignition on from outside the vehicle, activating a bomb planted by the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens. Nanbara told the others to head to Azumi Castle in order to awaken King Caesar while he would go back into the aliens' base to deal with them. However, Masahiko and Ikuko’s father insisted on accompanying him, Professor Miyajima felt remorse for helping the aliens and he was the only one able to destroy Mechagodzilla’s head controls. As the three men returned to the base, Ikuko joined Keisuke and met with Saeko Kanagusuku, who had the statue of King Caesar. With the intention of using the statue to awaken the ancient guardian, they travelled to Azumi Castle. The three were halted when by aliens holding Nami Kunigami and her grandfather hostage, demanding they hand over the statue or their captives would die. Before the statue could be handed over, INTERPOL agent Tamura shot and killed both aliens. At this moment, the Sun rose, producing a mirage that looked like another Sun rising in the west. The statue was placed on a pedastal on top of the shrine, firing two beams from its eyes at a cliffside, revealed to house the sleeping King Caesar. Nami ran down to the beach and sung a sacred prayer to the ancient guardian, just before Mechagodzilla arrived to destroy him. When the song finished, King Caesar awakened and battled Mechagodzilla, Godzilla later joined the battle to aid King Caesar. Together, the two monsters were able to destroy Mechagodzilla. With the threat eliminated, Godzilla swam away into the ocean and King Caesar returned to his slumber inside the cliff. As this was happening, the group saw a nearby explosion, caused by Miyajima and the others destroying the base and killing the rest of the aliens, including Kuromuma. Ikuko was concerned for her father’s safety but Keisuke assured her that he would’ve been able to escape in time, achieving a great victory in the process. Professor Miyajima did indeed manage to escape in time, although he is not seen reuniting with his daughter. Ikuko watched with Keisuke, Masahiko and Saeko as Nami returned the King Caesar statue to its rightful in Azumi Castle.
