It was a bit unnecessary to delete 47 pages

Still unnecessary

This was something site staff requested because the pages we undeleted the last time, when we didn't know what was going on, ended up having revisions that were impossible to view in the page history. We were told that this deleting/reimporting process would take 3-8 hours, and I see that most of the deleted pages are back already. (For folks outside of the U.S., it's early morning here.)

An error caused inconsistent revision data across several MediaWiki tables. To resolve this, we exported the full history of the affected pages, deleted the pages, and re-imported them from the exported dump. The deletion took place on May 21 and included the comment: "Will be recreated from the full dump to fix possibly corrupted tables."

Unfortunately, some power users overlooked the note and undeleted 47 pages, inadvertently restoring the incorrect revision relationships. As a result, we had to repeat the process for those pages. This time, I slightly revised the deletion comment to read: "Pages are being deleted by the maintainer and will be re-imported from the dump shortly."

All pages are now restored, with consistent revision histories and original comments reattached to the new page IDs. Thanks everybody for their patience, please do not disregard messages from the technical stuff in future.
