GvK Commentary isn’t canon (according to Adam)

Toho Kingdom did an interview with Adam Wingard: https://www.tohokingdom.com/blog/interview-adam-wingard-2021-round2/
In that interview, he does say that “you know it’s [audio commentary] just a separate thing. It’s not the movie”
Does this mean that most of what Wingard has said in the audio commentary is not canon? He did say he was joking around. And if that’s the case, then the Legendary Godzilla page needs a n update

If you read it carefully, he was only referring to one thing, which is the hollow Earth Energy and not the whole commentary. That and he has said these things in interviews as well.
