"A Destined Encounter"

Shosuke attended the National High School Wrestling Championship alongside his brother Gota and his best friend Jun Yamato to cheer on her brother Takeshi, who ended up taking the champion title. The group returned to Jun and Takeshi's mother's cafe "Kai Coffee" to celebrate. There, Gota and Shosuke's parents arrived to join in the celebration. In the coming days, Shosuke was roughed up while playing with Jun. She was upset by this, but Shosuke did his best not to show how much pain he was in. Takeshi spotted the two and ran up to them. He handed her a puppy he had found while on his walk, which cheered her up. After giving Shosuke a pep talk, Takeshi took Jun home.

"Fight! Rainbow Seven"

Shosuke accompanied Gota and Jun to the airport to pick up her long-absent brother Takeshi Yamato, where the boys teased him about what he will have to say to Yoko Omiya when the two meet again. The group then spent some time at the Yamatos' mother's cafe. That evening he enjoyed playing baseball with Gota, Jun, and their friend Hiroshi Toyama. Hiroshi's mother later pulled up and scolded him before taking him away.

"Secret of the Underground Cavern"

When Gota Yamada caught a young boy named Goro stealing fruit, Takeshi invited him in for a free meal and Jun and Shosuke listened to him explain himself. When his father went missing, Goro walked to Tokyo to search for him with only water to drink, and was starving by the time he arrived. Jun admired his courage, and he did regret being forced to turn to theft, so they banded together to search the city with pictures of the man to gather leads. While they were out, Shosuke spotted Goro's father, but he seemed not to recognize his son. This led to them being kidnapped by the Die-Die Gang, and tossed in the back of one of their work trucks. They were brought to a Die-Die Gang base in the countryside, where they were kept tied up. When Rainbowman began to menace the base, they were brought out as an ultimatum: Rainbowman would either stop his attack, or the children would be shot. Goro's father, who had been freed of his mind control, used construction equipment to scare the gang off, and Rainbowman set the kids free. When Rainbowman had defeated the gang, Jun and the others said goodbye to Goro and his father at the train station.
