Errors
- Page 7 misnames numerous kaiju, including Kumonga as Aspiga and Kamacuras as Gamekara, a spider as well.
- Page 10 of the book claims that Godzilla was 400 feet (121.92 meters) tall in the original 1954 film, contradicting the officially given height of 50 meters (~164 feet).
- Pages 13 and 15 of the book claim that the Oxygen Destroyer reduced those within its range to skeletons. While partially true in the original 1954 film, the weapon ultimately disintegrates its victims entirely there. However, the concept of the Oxygen Destroyer reducing its victims to only their skeletons would be utilized in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.
- Page 16 of the book makes no mention of Gigantis, The Fire Monster's original Japanese title, Godzilla Raids Again. The Godzilla that appears in this film is described as female. Anguirus, an irradiated Ankylosaurus, is also referred to as an armadillo called "Anzilla" or "Angorus."
- Page 17 describes the events of Gigantis occurring in Tokyo, instead of Osaka.
- Page 29 gives Mothra a wingspan of 400 feet, in contradiction to the wingspan of 250 meters (~820 feet) given by the 1964 theater program for Mothra vs. Godzilla.
- Page 31 repeats the rumor that the Japanese version of King Kong vs. Godzilla had an alternate ending where Godzilla won. King Kong is the victor in both versions. See the rumor's entry on the Godzilla misconceptions page for more information.
- Page 43 lists Godzilla vs. Hedorah as occurring after Godzilla vs. Gigan and Godzilla vs. Megalon, and omits Terror of Mechagodzilla as it had not yet been released in the US at the time of the book's publication.
